RPG Game Makers – Name Generators

Need good names for your video game characters?

No matter what game engine you use whether it’ll be RPG Maker VX or Game Maker, you’ll eventually want to create a video game character that sounds good. It is usually a good idea to use generators for your game characters unless you are going with the name meaning approach. I know a lot of people get stuck at this point, especially when creating an RPG. Therefore it’s useful to use random generators to get inspiration and ideas. Below are three of the top generators I recommend to beginners with a little information on what each one does. Click the links to go to them.

1. Seventhsanctum – This website has every generator you could want. From planets to characters to villains to heroes to settings to themes. An amazing bunch. It’s just perfect to get your ideas from.

2. Squid – This website has some brilliant mysterious character names. I use it a lot for my current projects simply because they use more mysterious themes with the names. They are also good for fantasy RPG games. Such as a final fantasy fan game. Except, you’d need to create new final fantasy characters for that to work.

3. Behind The Name – This site have a huge bundle of names. Common names, uncommon names and some just plain random names that don’t make any sense at all. I use this when I want to create funny characters for my RPG project.

I hope you find these useful. Good luck with your character names!
